In the summer, there's more permission to wear less. Sometimes I like to see how far I can push the public boundaries of acceptable. It's like a fun test to see how far is "too far."

When I was 14, my neighbor Dawn got sent home from school for wearing orange short-shorts like these. She was in tears because her parents couldn't pick her up and she was forbidden to walk home alone.
