I remember when Robyn bought her very first piece of lingerie. She was 18, a senior about to graduate. She seemed like she was finally an adult. She'd moved out of her parent's house and signed the lease on an apartment she'd share with her best friend Heather over the summer.
It seemed appropriate, then, to purchase her very first piece of lingerie. Back then, there wasn't a lot availible. there wasn't the internet. And even Victoria's Secret and Fredrick's of Hollywood weren't in all the malls in all the small towns. She was from a small town. But there was a few pieces of lingerie for sale, mostly in the bridal wear sections, white and lacy. She picked out a baby-doll with garter straps and matching panties.
She couldn't wait to model it for me. Of course, we snapped a few photos so we would always remember this day. It seemed like a big step, like we were finally in a grown-up sexual relationship. Looking back, it seems so innocent.
