Tribute to Blondie: Debbie Harry, Part 3

My Sexy Spot blog is proud to pay tribute to Debbie Harry in the third and final instalment of this 3-part series. Enjoy.

Part Three: Super Star

In 1976, Blondie released their first album. They soon enjoyed their growing popularity, which peaked with their third album, 1979′s Parallel Lines.

At her "Heart of Glass" height, Debbie Harry was popping into Studio 54, and hanging with folks like David Bowie and Andy Warhol.

Harry’s band persona quickly became iconic with her punk and new wave attitude of cool-headed edginess. She flew into sex symbol status, with men across the globe lusting after her pouting unaffected nonchalance, sexy bleached hair and risque style. Women began to imitate her, and her Day-Glo on stage looks, often designed by the music industry’s go-to-guy for designing, New York’s Stephen Sprouse.
