Tribute to L'Origine du Monde

Dear Readers may recall one of my favorite articles thaI wrote on the classic French painting L'Origine du Monde.

Gustave Courbet's 1866 work is arguably one of the most popular and pornographic paintings in Art History. As I researched and wrote about, It has a long and fascinating history of ownership, starting with a Turkish diplomat, crossing Europe, and finally returning to Paris, where it is enjoyed by millions of visitors to the Mussee d'Orsay.

Art inspires art, and here the lovely Lucasta takes a self-portrait in tribute to the original masterpiece.
