There's something very sexy about exploring an old abandoned homestead in the West. It's a strange thrill of having a place all to yourself, but still feeling like it's someone's home, like the old ranch family could show up at any moment. A lot of times in the West, the climate is so dry, that curtains still hang in windows. Plates are still stacked in the cupboards. It's like stepping back in time. The old house smells dusty, but the light is soft through old window glass. It's a great location to take off your clothes and do a shoot, like this one for Playboy, 1977.
