A Nod to the Original

The iconic 1976 poster of Farrah Fawcett star of Charlie's Angels. Farrah Fawcett became a cultural legend and her golden-lock hairstyle was emulated by women across America well into the early 1980s.

The poster of Farrah in a one-piece red Speedo bathing suit was an instant best-seller, becoming the top-selling pin-up poster of the '70s with sales estimates as high as 12 million copies. A copy of the poster and the bathing suit now belongs to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History.

I don't know if Sasha Grey ever met Farrah, or even knows much about her. But surely this image of the porn starlet has to be a tribute, or at the very least, a knowing nod to the 1970s trendsetter.
