ANYTOWN, USA

Anytime I fly, I look out the window a see miles and miles of subdivisions, circling any and every town. Streets lined with one-story homes, small square backyards, each with a barbecue. Each driveway with a car, parked, or coming and going from work, the grocery store, soccer practice. How similar the hopes and dreams are of all of us, this collective middle class, the silent majority that goes to work, mows the lawn, brushes teeth before bed.

And yet, just below the surface of this similar monotony is the undercurrent of sex. Sexy sex. Like this woman, sitting in front of her house, pants down, shirt pulled up over her breasts, her hand parting her vulva. Looking directly at the camera, a coy grin. A gleam of mischief. Yes, how refreshing to think that behind the brick facade of a subdivision home, this woman lives, this woman thinks and feels and acts sexy. What an amazing image.

America, maybe there is reason to hope.
